HimVijay The Panagarh based 17 Mountain Strike Corps will conduct Exercise HimVijay spread over a month and half with three newly created IBGs. The IBGs are part of overall force transformation initiated by Army Chief. They are brigade-sized agile self-sufficient combat formations which can swiftly launch strikes against adversary in case of hostilities. Each IBG will have about 5,000 troops. ASSAM NRC- Notes for upsc Over 19 lakh excluded from Assam’s final NRC News More than 19 lakh of the 3.29 crore applicants in Assam were left out of the final National Register of Citizens (NRC) that was published to conclude a Supreme Court-monitored exercise that took five years and ₹1,220 crore. Final National Register of Citizens State Home Department officials said though the NRC was called ‘final’, the 19,06,657 people excluded would have opportunities to be back on the citizens’ list if they appeal against their exclusion and establish their citizenship via courts.
