Beyond News Accordingly, the task-force has recommended key principles in the Drone Ecosystem Policy Roadmap that will guide the drafting of ‘Civil Aviation Regulations’ (CAR) 2.0. Currently, a basic framework for regulations in the area has been established under the “DigitalSky Platform” in CAR 1.0 which took effect from December 1, 2018. Findings The researchers, were able to discern that between 1979 and 1990, Antarctica shed an average of 40 gigatonnes of ice mass annually. From 2009 to 2017, about 252 gigatonnes per year were lost. The pace of melting rose dramatically over the four-decade period.
