Beyond News: Saubhagya, an initiative taken by Prime Minister , seeks to provide electricity to 4 crore families across the country by December 2018. The State’s Deputy Chief Minister said that,electric connections would be given to poor people, identified by the Socio Economic and Caste Census of 2011 and others sections for ₹500, payable in 10 instalments in the bill. Beyond News The artefacts are estimated to be around 2,000 years old. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) had earmarked several acres of land in Old Pallavaram for undertaking such excavations, which was objected to by the residents. The archaeological remains were found near Ambedkar Thidal. A few clay pieces were initially found by the researchers. On Friday, they unearthed a six-foot-high pot.
