
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the civil services (CS) preliminary examination on June 2 this year. The commission conducts the CS exam every year to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
The exam is held in three stages – preliminary, main and interview. Not surprisingly, the prelims draw a horde of candidates.

While preparing in last days of PRELIMS 2019, you should keep following things in mind too.
- No matter, how hard, super hard or smart studies you did for 1 year or for 1 decade, your selection in this examination is not guaranteed.
- Read one book ten times rather then making your room a mini library. Keep your study material limited & less.
- Things which get scheduled gets done. So make a time table & follow it diligently.
- Always remember, you are preparing for an examination & not doing a PhD course, study accordingly.

- Make a group of 2–3 friends who are absolutely serious about this examination.
- You will have to work hard. Be prepared for it, even before you enter the race.
- Irrespective of what a senior Bhaiya or Didi says keep your preparation process simple & easy.
- Have immense faith on yourself that you will do it.
- During your preparation period, things will get tough, enjoy the process & this too shall pass.
