Challenges to One Nation One Ration card scheme
- Regional difference: Different states have different rates & lethargy from states to incorporate.
- Local factors: local factors like internet connection /faulty machine and authentication failures.
- Digital illiteracy: Digital illiteracy of beneficiary can lead to inaccessibility/ manipulation by middle men.
Food security is the essence of a welfare state. ONOR is a step in right direction including 37% migrant labors left out earlier. Implementation without issues like data privacy, mobility records of migrants, Dispute resolution at WTO..etc can do wonder.
